XLRI- Xavier School of Management will manage XAT 2020. There is a myth among aspirants that XAT is also one of the toughest management entrance exams like CAT and CMAT. But, it’s a real fact that XAT is the simplest management entrance exam. The difficulty level of XAT is always easy. The syllabus is vast, but the topics are easy compared to other management entrance exams. This national level exam is only conducted once in a year. Like the previous year, the official dates would be revealed in August 2019. XAT offers admissions for management degrees in more than 150 business schools. Aspirants mostly appear for XAT to take admissions in Xavier institutes.
This

Ø What are the new changes in XAT
2020 exam?

XAT
2020 will not consist of any kind of essays in the examination.

The
most beneficial point for students that XAT 2020 will not have negative marking
scheme in the General awareness section.

XLRI
will also follow the new trend of computer-based examination. XAT as pen-paper
based exam is the past; the online examination will be conducted this year.

Apart
from MCQ based problems, a new type of question will be introduced by XLRI is known
as ‘Numerical Answer Type question.’

XLRI
confirms that students have the freedom to start solving Part 2 section once
Part 1 is completed.
v
XAT
2020 will only comprise of four sections. There will be a total of 99 questions
in the XAT 2020 examination.

Now,
only 3 sections will be utilized to generate the merit list and XAT percentile.
GK section will not play an important role during the release of merit lists.
Still solving and clearing the GK section is also mandatory.

The
exam duration for XAT 2020 will be 180 minutes. However, there is no sectional
time limit in XAT 2020. But, a student can only start solving Part 2 once the
time limit of Part 1 is over.

There
is a new change in the negative marking scheme. If a student unattempts 8
questions, then a deduction of 0.10 marks is applied to every unattempted
question.

Candidates
who are visually impaired will not have any additional time limit of General
Awareness section. However, they are allotted with an extra 25 minutes for
other sections.
